Hi, I'm Anita Shum.
Welcome to Music for Young Children in Vancouver, BC.
I have taught piano and group music lessons for over 20 years and enjoy teaching MYC group classes, private lessons and theory lessons. My musical students range from preschool ages 3 to adults. My piano education and training include the following: Royal Conservatory of Music Teacher Training (RCM), Victoria Conservatory of Music Teacher Training (AVCM), Kelly Kirby Kindergarten, Suzuki, and Music for Young Children. I hold an AVCM in Teaching from the Victoria Conservatory of Music where I studied with renowned piano teacher Winifred Scott Wood and Dr. Jamie Syer.

$210 for the materials which will include: 3 MYC textbooks, Student activity book, Tinsheet, Magnets, Castanet & Bag

Our two music studio features:
Studio A: 1 grand piano, 3 full range keyboards with 88 keys, and 1 keyboard
Studio B: 1 upright piano, 2 keyboards
Each class includes keyboard playing, rhythm ensembles, singing together, creative movement, ear training, music reading & theory, games and visual aids. Class sizes are between 4 to 6 children with parents in a class.
