Due to the continued global ripple effects from the pandemic and being one of the sole-owners of MYC, I have had to maintain my focus on our wonderful MYC Method, MYC teachers and my family.  

I hope to return to active teaching soon.

However, in the meantime, I welcome you to contact me with any questions you have about the MYC method and classes.  I am happy to help parents and teachers in anyway.

I am currently the President & International Director of MYC (Music for Young Children) and am so pleased that you have taken the time to visit our website to find out more about our program and method.

To give you a bit of history about myself, I have studied piano, voice and flute (completing grade 10, grade 9 and grade 8 respectively by age 16) – and have also completed all theory co-requisites to the associate level.
My journey with music started at 2 1/2 with Music for Young Children as my mother, Frances Balodis, is the founder of this fabulous program.

During university I studied Performance Piano and Pedagogy at St. Thomas University in St. Paul, MN and have also studied with John Perry (NY, USA) and Anton Kubalec (Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto, ON). I eventually changed degrees and universities to earn my BA in Business and Art Administration from Ottawa University in 2001.

Before returning to MYC in 2006, I worked in Toronto in both the employment industry and advertising industry. The wealth of knowledge and learning I experienced in Toronto was amazing and I am so pleased to be able to bring some of those aspects to MYC.

Within MYC Head Office, my focus is always on our MYC products, curriculum, communication (with Asian Directors, Regional Coordinators and MYC Teachers) - as well as conducting MYC training seminars.
