What is your experience or opinion about hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopause? Do you find it an effective way to manage symptoms such as hot flashes, fatigue and mood swings?

Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for menopause is a much-discussed and sometimes controversial topic. Many women find it an effective way to treat menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, fatigue, mood swings and sleep disturbances. You can find out more at https://bodysilk.co.uk/treatments/hormone-replacement-therapy . However, others are concerned about its potential risks and side effects. My take on HRT is based on both research and the experiences of those who have used it, highlighting its benefits and potential downsides.

Hormone replacement therapy involves adding oestrogen and, in some cases, progesterone (or progestin) to the body to compensate for the natural decline in hormones during menopause.

Hormonal fluctuations can contribute to anxiety, depression and brain fog. Oestrogen has a neuroprotective effect and many women feel mentally sharper and more emotionally stable on HRT.
