Hello! I'm Dora Chan. I am a MYC teacher, private piano teacher and the studio owner of Leading Tone Music Studio.

My passion is teaching music to children of all ages. The most magical thing about teaching is when a child begins to understand and enjoy music. Music for Young Children is a wonderful program to start your child on this musical journey.

I graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Psychology and Bachelor of Arts in English. My published thesis was on music perception in musicians and non-musician. I have also received my music diploma and became an Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT). I have been teaching music for over 25 years and I have taught Music for Young Children for over 15 years. It has been very rewarding to watch my students develop into fine musicians. Through the years, I have discovered that my MYC graduates learn so much more than just music; they learn to develop many other practical skills such as listening, creativity, discipline and goal setting.

My studio is called Leading Tone Music Studio. In my studio, I have other wonderful MYC teachers - Amanda Wong, Shanelle Heng, Vivian Tran, Sunny Chan who all teach MYC classes with me. I also have other talented private piano teachers in my studio who have taken on our MYC graduates and are amazed at how much our students have learned in the MYC program.

Thursday 5:15 – 6:15 pm (Ms Shanelle)

Saturday 12:45 - 1:45 pm (Ms Amanda)

Sunbeams 1: (ages 5.5 to 6)
