Tiana Struthmann began her musical studies at the age of 3 with Music for Young Children!
She holds her A.R.C.T. in piano and grade 9 vocal with the Royal Conservatory of Music.
Tiana has also studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Breakdance, Salsa, and Swing throughout many studios in Barrie, and Toronto.
During her piano studies, Tiana has had the pleasure to work with such known teachers/performers as James Anagnoson, Marina Geringas, Clifford Poole, and Eleanore Honey.
Tiana enjoyed her youth, growing up apart of the talented musical cast of ‘The Strolling Youth Players, under the direction of Joy Bainborough.
After highschool, she studied the triple threat program at “Randolph Performing Arts Academy” (Toronto); and has been seen is such shows as Second City’s ‘Tony and Tina’s Wedding’, ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Music Man’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat’, and many more.
Tiana’s highlighted credits and awards include ‘The Silver Medal Award’ (RCM, Toronto) for vocal; ‘Joyce Langford Award’ in piano (ORMTA); ‘Actor’s Merit Award’ (Sears Drama Festival, Elmira ON); Vocal competitor in Barrie’s ‘Rose Bowl Competition,’ Barrie’s pop trio sensation ‘SugarHi’, lead vocalist/keyboardist in ‘Sevendays’, backup vocalist/keyboardist in ‘Crisis? What Crisis?’ Canada’s SUPERTRAMP experience.
On a regular basis, Tiana teaches piano, vocal, and theory privately from her home in Oro-Medonte, and now all MYC levels and Music Pups from her own Barrie studio.

Rates and Prices
TUITION PRICES:
MUSIC FOR YOUNG CHILDREN 2019 PRICING (ages 3-11):
One child: $95.00 per month (September - May)
Two children: (family savings rate) $180.50 per month (September to May)
MUSIC PUPS (ages 0-4):
8 week session (includes music book, CD, tuition and tax) : $200.00 (one child)
$50.00 for every added sibling.
PRIVATE LESSONS (piano/vocal/theory) :
$35 per 30 minutes
$52.50 per 45 minutes
$70 per 60 minutes
Other (Policies, descriptions)
Group Classes:
All MYC classes will remain online via Zoom this fall season
Weekly online classes will run via Zoom. Our weekly lesson will be approx. 30 minutes long.
Google Classroom will be our platform to access homework, assignments, videos, tutorials, info, etc.
Class recordings. All classes will be recorded in case of absences or need of review. I will send class recordings via a cloud link on google classroom.
Solo-time will be scheduled as we progress into our musical year. Solo time lesson duration is based on level.
Performing. We will have added online performances to keep these musicians moving forward
Of course, I will do what I can to keep our music interesting, and FUN for everyone!
Moving forward! These policies are put in place to get us started in our year. At Miss Tiana's discretion, we will switch it up and transition slowly back into in-person group classes.
In-Studio Lessons:
Masks are required to enter the studio and must be worn throughout the duration of the lesson.
Physical distancing applies. A minimum of 2m distance must remain in effect inside the studio. No hugs for now 🙁
Temperature check. Each person will have their temperature taken as they enter the studio. Any temperature above 37.6 may not enter.
Sanitize and wash. There will be a sanitizing station, and a hand wash station in the studio. You are required to wash/sanitize as you enter the studio and once again before you leave.
No wait room. There will no longer be a wait room available. Parents and/or siblings are not permitted to wait in the studio during lesson times.
Washroom use is discouraged. Please use the washroom before you come to avoid needing to use it in the studio. Washroom must be sanitized after each use.
Post sanitization. Lessons will end 5 minutes early. This will allow time to sanitize and exit safely without coming in contact with another family. With the help of Miss Tiana, all equipment, door knobs, handles must be properly sanitized. All sanitization supplies will be available.
No sharing. Sharing of books, pencils, pencil crayons, etc. are not permitted at this time. Please be fully prepared for your lesson.
Do not come if you, the student, or anyone within your household is feeling unwell. Our lessons can easily be taught online when need be. Please let Miss Tiana know via text message at your earliest convenience so the switch is effortless.
Punctuality. Please be on time for your lesson, however please do not enter if another student is inside the studio. There will be a sign to welcome you in or to warn you to wait outside the front door.
