Hi there! My name is Ginny Good Wold...and I am an elite educator, a Music for Young Children® certified teacher, an Ultimate Music Theory® certified instructor.
I love to share the gift of music with others, and encourage them on their own musical journey.
My music training began early in my life. I'm so grateful to my parents for their encouragement and support of me as I learned both piano and violin. Opportunities to participate in and attend concerts and festivals and to succeed in Conservatory Canada instrumental and theory exams opened my eyes to the desire to share the gift of music with others.
As adult student I received my Associate of Music from Conservatory Canada in 1999, but have been teaching private piano lessons since the mid 1980's. Included with those lessons were group events, where education, performance and musical camaraderie. I was always creating games and activities to enhance lesson time. What a privilege it was to become a Music for Young Children® teacher in 2005, with classes from preschoolers to preteen and their parents.
My goal as a teacher is to provide fun-filled experiences which will help develop the music aptitude of young children and the skills of older students, allowing them to reach their full potential as they grow and develop. Music can enrich our lives long after we are no longer able to take part in many of life's other activities.
Currently, Good Music Studio offers group Music for Young Children® classes, group Ultimate Music Theory lessons, as well as private piano and theory lessons for MYC® graduates and older students (including adults). Both in studio and virtual students are welcome. As protocols due to COVID19 have lifted, we are able to have classes in the studio for those local to Ailsa Craig. There is always room for remote students to participate in classes virtually. (We love to create music together no matter where we live!)

It is a thrill to continue to encourage children and adults to explore the world of music, applauding and creatively supporting them on their adventure.

Rates and Prices
Each level has its own registration rates - contact me for more information.
My MYC® tuition rate per year is $690. All tuition fees are due in postdated cheques, cash or etransfer by September 1st. 2022. Tuition is payable in lump sum; or 3 equal payments of $230 Sept. 1, Jan 1 and April 1; or 10 equal payments of $69.00 Sept.1, 2022 to June 1, 2023.

Other Information for in studio lessons:
*Park in the driveway - room for 5 vehicles
*Enter by way of the garage man door; remove your shoes, hang up your coat and use hand sanitizer before you enter the house. Make your way to the living room/studio space.
*Have a great time making music together!
Virtual Lessons:
*Each family will want to have a laptop, tablet or phone with good internet service. Directly hooked up to the modem provides the best signal.
*Keep Zoom updated, prepare the setup for the student to see me, and for me to see a side view of the student playing at their keyboard. We will practice setup and virtual lessons will be easy to do.
*Be prepared for on and off the bench activities and great play together as we stay safe in our own homes or participate from a distance.
