Ginny Good Wold

Hi there!  My name is Ginny Schaefer (Good Wold)...and I am an elite educator, a retiring Music for Young Children® certified teacher (as of June 30, 2026), and an Ultimate Music Theory® certified instructor.  I have an Associate of Music with Conservatory Canada and have been teaching for over 40 years. I love to teach and encourage my students on their own musical journey.  Using our senses to learn to read, listen, and move gives us a well rounded approach.  Understanding the basics and then developing and refining skills advances the love of music.  And with the help of parent(s) and home practice - we have a recipe for fun, enjoyment and success! My goal as a teacher is to provide fun-filled experiences which will help develop the music aptitude of young children and the skills of older students, allowing them to reach their full potential as they grow and develop. My MYC  graduates and piano students often choose to learn another instrument in school, and/or ask to learn a variety of genres.

As of July 1 2026 Good Music Studio will be offering private piano and music theory lessons to beginner-intermediate level for age 5-adult. Both "in studio" students in Ilderton or at Grace Bible Chapel in Parkhill and "virtual" students are welcome.  (We love to create music together no matter where we live!) It is a thrill to continue to encourage children and adults to explore the world of music, applauding and creatively supporting them on their adventure. Music can enrich our lives long after we are no longer able to take part in many of life's other activities. The gift of music lasts for a lifetime!

In studio: *baby grand piano,  digital pianos *kid (and adult) friendly room *great number of teaching aids and music games  Virtual Classes: *online lessons via Zoom or alternate app using high speed internet and equipment to broadcast lessons around the world!  MUSIC CLUB group classes: meet 5 times during the music year in order that local and online students connect, perform, learn and participate in our own studio community.
